Sign up for Valid, then go to your Dashboard and add your website. You'll receive a unique API key for each site.
Copy the embed code from your site settings and paste it into your website's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag.

In your site settings, configure which US states should have access blocked entirely, and which states should be exempt from the verification requirement. This allows you to comply with varying state-level age verification laws.
Valid handles the rest. When a user visits your site, they'll see the verification modal. They upload their ID, we verify their age, and if they're 18+, they get access. No personal data is ever stored.
User uploads a photo of their government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport).
Our AI extracts only the date of birth from the ID image. No other data is read or stored.
We calculate the user's age. If they are 18+, access is granted immediately.
The uploaded image is immediately discarded. Zero data retention. Zero risk.
